Early College Credit and
the Academy Program
Early
College Credits-Fast Track to Academic Success
The
Academy Program (Post-Secondary Enrollment Option Program) allows you to begin
your college career while still in high school. This program offers qualified
high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to complete college-level course
work for college credit usually at no cost during the regular school year. Your
course work may, if approved by your high school, also fulfill high school graduation
credit. The Academy allows you to expand your educational opportunities through
an array of courses generally not available in high school. You can find out more
about the Academy by contacting Holly Cox at (740) 725-6239 or e-mail cox.298@osu.edu.

College Credit-Before College
Advanced Placement (AP) examinations, the
College Level Examination Program tests, and Ohio State's placement and proficiency
tests also allow students to earn college credit. University rules permit you
to earn up to 45 credit hours (an entire college year) by successfully passing examination.
