The Scarlet Wave Men's Golf team competes in a spring
& fall season of Golf Invitational's hosted by member schools from
around the state of Ohio.
The Scarlet Wave Athletic Program has contributed towards the formation
of a new athletic conference in Ohio that our golf team will be
competing in the fall. The new conference is named the
OCAC (Ohio Collegiate Athletic
Conference).
The golf program will also be competing with the
ORCC (Ohio Regional Campus Conference)
and the OCCAC (Ohio Community College Athletic Conference).
The Scarlet Wave Golf program is open to
any student who attends classes at either Ohio State Marion or
Marion Technical College. |

Scarlet Wave wins first ever State Championship
Golf team wins championship by one stroke
The Scarlet Wave Men's Golf Team competed in
the 12-team ORCC State Championships and finished on top of the
leader board by one stroke to
runner-up Ohio University Lancaster. Overall, our team members played consistently through both courses to pull
out the narrow victory.

Scarlet Wave wins second Team Championship
Golf team records second best-ever team score of 313
The Scarlet Wave Men's Golf Team continue to improve their
golfing game before heading into next week's ORCC State
Championships. Our men's golf team participated in the
2009 Golden Eagle Invitational, hosted by Kent State University
Tuscarawas at Oak Shadows Golf Club, located in New

Scarlet Wave finish runner-up to host Ohio University
Lancaster
Golf team fell short three strokes from winning back-to-back
championships
The Scarlet Wave Men's Golf Team continue to improve their
team scores and almost came away with another championship at
the 71-par Valley View Golf Club in Lancaster, OH. Senior
Alan Dixon also had opportunities to become the tournament's
medalist as he came up short 2-strokes in the final three holes

Scarlet Wave become Tournament Team Champions
First-ever team championship
The Scarlet Wave Men's Golf Team battled against the weather and
7 other university golf programs to win their first-ever team
championship at King's Mill Golf Club in Waldo, OH.

2008
Spring Recap
The Scarlet Wave finished the 2008 spring season competing in
8 tournaments. The team was comprised of 26 members with 8
competing in regular season tournaments. This year's season was a
huge success for our top golfer, Alan Dixon. Alan brought
home the overall medalist award in two tournaments; Ohio
University Zanesville & Kent State University Tuscarawas. The Scarlet Wave look to
build on the successes of this season's squad with the additions
of several incoming freshman recruits.
Congratulations to our sister campus OSU Lima for winning the ORCC
Conference Championship.
OSU Newark finished the season strong with a third place finish
in the ORCC Conference Tournament standings.

2007 Recap
The Scarlet Wave finished the 2007 season competing in 7 tournaments. This past season was a challenge for all our team members. The team was comprised of 20 members with 14 members competing in regular season tournaments. The Scarlet Wave looks to return most of its members from last year’s squad, including 2006 ORCC State Tournament Champion Alan Dixon.
