The Ohio State Marion campus continues to support the campus rugby team that has been on campus since 1977. This student-led program was introduced by those who enjoy participating in a full contact sport.
The Marion Rugby Football Club plays two seasons per year. They begin in early spring (March thru May) and finish in fall (September thru November). Yearly, the club schedules several local tournaments in Marion, travels to other universities throughout Ohio, and travels to much larger tournaments, such as The Nash Bash in Tennessee and Three Rivers in Indiana.
The Marion Rugby team is open to all students who attend classes at either
The Ohio State University at Marion or
Marion Technical College.
